Inventory: follow the movement
Track receipts, sales, transfers, returns and adjustments by item and location. Establish an opening balance and require a reason for corrections. Test your real variants, barcodes, batches or serial numbers where needed. Define reorder approval and reconciliation. A spreadsheet is not automatically wrong; the case for change should come from errors, workload and control gaps.
POS: demonstrate a difficult transaction
For restaurants, test modifiers, table changes, split bills, discounts and voids. For retail, test variants, exchanges and returns. Confirm the payment integration and staff permissions using the intended hardware. Demonstrate network loss and recovery before relying on offline operation. Every correction should leave enough history to explain the final sale and stock balance.
Bookings: availability is a business rule
Map service duration, staff, rooms, equipment, branches and cancellation rules. Test overlapping requests, staff leave and rescheduling. Reminders require appropriate permission and provider support. Explain deposit and refund terms before payment. Measure no-shows and staff workload in your own pilot instead of assuming a reminder guarantees a particular improvement.
HR: protect the employee record
Separate permissions for employee profiles, leave, attendance and payroll-related exports. Confirm who may correct a record and who approves it. Keep employment and statutory payroll rules with the responsible HR or payroll specialist; a generic module is not proof of compliance. Plan retention, employee access and a traceable correction process.
Mobile: decide what must work away from a desk
A responsive website may be sufficient for occasional access. Consider an app for repeated use, device features or offline field work. Include the backend, staff administration, supported devices and weak-network testing in the quote. GPS, notifications and proof-of-delivery need permission and recovery paths. A clickable app prototype is not the same scope as an operated service.
